- 1 head of brocoli, chopped into 1 inch pieces
- 2 cups dry pasta (any shape works really, but we used shells)
- 1/2 stick butter
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 cup shredded parmesan
I cut up both the brocoli heads and as much stem as possible. Toss the brocoli in a large pot of boiling water and boil 6-8 minutes. Remove brocoli and add dry pasta to water. Boil per package directions. Add the brocoli back into the pot for the last 2 minutes of boiling. Drain pasta and brocoli. While it is draining, melt butter in pot. Add garlic and cook for 30-45 seconds until it is aromatic. Add pasta and brocoli back to pan. Stir in cheese. Toss all to mix and serve.
