Cooking with kids can be an adventure. However, you have to find ways to stimulate them when your in quarantine and I really want to release a somewhat self-sufficient human into the world someday.
I love getting creative with food. And I love homemade. Quarantine ,"Social Distancing", Stay in Place, Safe at Home...whatever they call it, its an opportunity for me to play with food! In our first week I made pineapple upside down cake, several new dinner dishes, brownies, and homemade burger and brat buns.

Don't get me … Continue reading The Semi-Vegan Plunge
I have a nice little pasta machine. It's the hand crank style, nothing super fancy. I've had it for more than a decade. I've used this machine maybe once a year. Every so often, I decide I want to make fresh pasta, and I drag the medieval contraption out from whatever generally unopened, dark cabinet … Continue reading Pasta Masochist
Potatoes are one of the most versatile cooking ingredients. I love potatoes. I have not found a preparation of potatoes that I don't like. And yes, I'm now going to go on about potatoes like Forest Gump went on about shrimp. There was a time in my life when someone convinced me to go on … Continue reading Potatoes
